Recorded at the 2025 NSW ECLS Symposium, this video lecture features Dr Steve Morgan, a clinician–educator in extracorporeal life support from SVH in NSW. He presents a comprehensive review of Mechanical CardioRespiratory Support in NSW, looking at the links in the chain of survival for severe cardiorespiratory disease in NSW. Discussing selection, initiation, optimisation, complication avoidance and management, and MCRS destination, he outlines how MCRS is a highly complex system that can achieve excellent survival when optimised.
