Call for Research Posters
The NSW ECLS Symposium is committed to showcasing the outstanding research, innovation and quality improvement work being undertaken across our ECMO and extracorporeal life support community.
We invite clinicians, nurses, perfusionists, allied health professionals, researchers and educators from across New South Wales and beyond to submit abstracts for poster presentation at the 2026 NSW ECMO/ECLS Symposium.
You may submit posters as electronic or hard-copy posters for display.
This year, submissions are welcomed through two streams:
- Stream A – Original & New Work: Present original research, quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, educational projects, simulation programs or emerging case series.
- Stream B – Encore Presentations: Share work that has been presented at another scientific meeting (e.g. ANZICS, CICM, ELSO or other national and international conferences) over the past 12–18 months, allowing valuable research to reach a broader NSW ECLS audience.
Our aim is to foster collaboration, highlight innovation and create opportunities for multidisciplinary learning across the NSW ECLS network. Posters will be displayed throughout the symposium, providing delegates with the opportunity to discuss projects directly with authors and celebrate the breadth of work occurring across the state.
All submissions will be reviewed by a multidisciplinary panel based on:
- Relevance and impact on ECMO/ECLS practice
- Scientific quality and clarity
- Significance for clinical care, education or healthcare improvement
Whether you’re presenting a multicentre research project, a novel quality improvement initiative, an educational innovation or an interesting case series, we encourage you to share your work.
Submission deadline: 16 October 2026 (COB)
We look forward to showcasing the innovation, collaboration and research that continue to strengthen ECMO and ECLS care across New South Wales.
